Master James

My baby just turned 9.... so hard to imagine... he used to be able to fit on my lap!

He was my first born, and I was scared to death. Now I know, he was sent to us for a reason, and my life would never be complete without him...

Since he first came to this world, he has made us laugh and smile. He's the Guardian Angel in our family, always putting us, including his parents, first and foremost... guiding us in the direction he knows we need to go.
He's always had this knack, of wrapping us all around his finger, because he was always so sincere and caring.

Now, he's 9, and growing like a weed... I was putting shoes away the other day, and realized that his shoes are only a 1/2 inch shorter than mine! That's when it started to hit me. He has big feet. It's not going to be long, before he really grows up, in personality, and height. I don't know if I'm ready for that, yet!

So, I am trying to take in every moment. I still wonder if he takes care of me, more than I take care of him. He has this 6th sense, and knows exactly what Todd and I need, and knows exactly when to do it. It's amazing, and we love him so much for it. He's our glue that sticks us all together.

He's becoming our little chef, and cooks us marvellous meals... Shrimp stir fry and tomatoes with basil and parmesan... FABULOUS!

He's Ellie's cuddle bug... she loves nothing more than to lay down and cuddle with James in the morning, when they are both still waking up!
He's the best big brother anyone could ask for. Always watching out, and taking care of his younger siblings, without any complaint.

James truly watches over us all. We are so blessed to have him in our family, and as much as I hate to admit this, I do look forward to watching him grow up, and become who we know he can become.

Ellie is 2...

Well, before my oldest turns 9 tomorrow, I need to hurry and give Ellie her 2-year-old blog, before I end up combining hers and James, and then never get that done, so end up combining all the kids birthdays from the past year, and it goes on and on! So, let's get cracking. I've gotta start somewhere, and soon!

It's hard to imagine that it's been 2 years since our little Miss Ellie was born. Here is what Ellie has been to our family over these past 2 years...

1. She has definitely been the princess in our house, who rules and reigns.

2. She has been the caboose that brings up the rear of the train, and make sure the train runs properly! Believe me, we know when it doesn't!

3. She has been the string around our finger.... she always makes sure we remember her!

4. She has been the one to bring dresses, dolls, and the color pink into the walls of this home... finally :-)

5. She has been able to us wrapped around her pinky... we will go where you want us to go, oh child!

6. She has been our peacemaker, and has the ability to melt away bad moods.

7. She has been our light on top of the hill, drawing everyone towards her, and loving and accepting all, unconditionally.

8. She has been our cheerleader. Always there to cheer us on to be the best mother, father, sibling, and friend we can possibly be!

9. She has been our reminder, to stop and smell the flowers. Life is too short to let it pass by.

10. And last but not least, she has been our little Miss Ellie. She brings life and excitement to our family. We love her with all our heart!

Well, there you have it. Our little one is growing up so fast, as are all our other children, as are Todd and I, unfortunately :-) Sorry, it's been forever since I've blogged, for those of you who have been poking at me to get this done! As I have written this today, I realize that I need to do this more for my own piece of mind. I love writing about my kids, and blogging helps me remember the day to day small things, which I've lost over these past many months. So, thanks for the poking and prodding, and I hope to get back into the swing of things!
Take care everyone!
Love,
Us
